Six Cadejo Dogs On White By Sky Rain. This folk art painting is done on a piece of 1/2" thick plywood that we salvaged from the neighbor's house remodel. The painting measures 18" tall and 23 7/8" wide. The contrasting blacks and whites really make this painting stand out on a wall. The cadejo is a character from Salvadoran, Belizean, Nicaraguan, Costa Rican, Honduran, Guatemalan and southern Mexican folklore. There are good white cadejo and evil black cadejo, tough in some cultures the white cadejo is bad and the black cadejo good (I painted good black and good white ones). The good cadejo is known in guatemalan folklore as the protector of the drunks, and guards against anyone who tries to rob or hurt them. I painted six cadejos on a weathered white background, The sides of the painting are painted black to create a finished look. I sealed it with a protective water based sealer, signed, numbered and dated it. The back has a keyhole slot hanger cut into it, so it's ready to hang flush against your wall. I retain all copyrights. Schuyler Rain. This is an original one of a kind item. The photos shown are of the actual item you get, so look over the pictures and make sure it is the item you want.
