Primitive Native American Folk Art Sunface Painting by Hollyann Rain. I painted this Primitive Folk Art Sunface on a background of blended white and lavender to give it an airy feeling and a bit of lemongrass to symbolize growing rays from the sun. This symbol is recongnized in many cultures but is primarily a Zuni tribe symbol as they were farmers of the land, the sun helped their gardens grow.

I painted this Primitive Folk Art Sunface on a background of blended white and lavender to give it an airy feeling and a bit of lemongrass to symbolize growing rays from the sun. This Native American sunface is painted in shades of orange, green and yellow with turquoise jewels across it's head. This symbol is recongnized in many cultures but is primarily a Zuni tribe symbol as they were farmers of the land, the sun helped their gardens grow. Hang this Native American Folk Art Sunface up as a symbol of life, stability, prosperity, good luck and joy. This primitive painting is done on a piece of salvaged 1/4" rough red cedar wood. This one of a kind original folk art painting measures 6" long and 4 3/8" tall. I attached a rusty wire hanger to the top of the board, including the hanger it is about 5 3/4" tall. It is sealed, signed, numbered, and dated. I retain all copyrights.
